Author guidelines

The Brazilian Journal of Management, Innovation and Sustainable Development (RBGIDS) welcomes original, unpublished manuscripts written in Portuguese, English, or Spanish, addressing topics that align with the journal’s scope in the areas of management, innovation, and sustainability. Submissions must be exclusive to RBGIDS and not under consideration by other journals at the time of submission. All content published is the sole responsibility of the authors and does not necessarily reflect the views of the editorial board or the institution.

Manuscript Structure

Manuscripts should be prepared according to the following structure:

– Title in both Portuguese and English
– Full name(s) of the author(s), institutional affiliation, email address, and ORCID iD
– Abstract (up to 250 words) and 3 to 5 keywords
– Abstract and keywords in English (if the article is not originally in English)
– Main body of the article, organized into the following sections: Introduction, Theoretical Framework, Methodology, Results and Discussion, Final Considerations
– Complete list of references, formatted according to ABNT NBR 6023:2018

Formatting Requirements

Manuscripts must comply with the following formatting guidelines:

– Font: Times New Roman, size 12
– Line spacing: 1.5
– Margins: 3 cm (top and left) and 2 cm (bottom and right)
– Text alignment: justified
– Paragraph indentation: 1.25 cm
– Direct quotations longer than three lines: indented 4 cm, font size 10, no quotation marks
– Tables and figures: numbered consecutively, centered, with captions (above tables, below figures)
– A maximum of six authors per article is allowed
– Full manuscripts must be between 12 and 20 pages in length

References

All sources must be listed in alphabetical order and formatted in accordance with ABNT NBR 6023:2018. Only works cited within the manuscript should appear in the reference list. The list should use single spacing and be separated by a blank line between entries.

Ethics and Originality

All manuscripts will be screened for originality using plagiarism detection software. Submissions found to contain high levels of similarity with existing publications will be rejected without further review. For studies involving human subjects, authors must include the ethics committee approval number.

Failure to comply with these guidelines may result in rejection during the initial editorial screening. Authors are strongly encouraged to review the journal’s full editorial policies and to use the official article template available for download under the Author Template section prior to submission.
