About the journal

The NEXOS - Revista de Direito adopts an open-access model and seeks to advance scientific communication in the field of law by promoting both the swift dissemination of knowledge and greater visibility for scholarly work. Its mission is to promote the dissemination of high-quality legal research, grounded in scientific rigor, academic ethics, and a commitment to social transformation. It seeks to contribute to the development of a critical, inclusive, and socially engaged legal science—one that responds to contemporary challenges and supports the construction of a democratic society. Publication of articles with interdisciplinary approaches, committed to justice, human rights, social equity, and the appreciation of diversity, are encouraged. Manuscripts must be original and have a theoretical or applied nature, submitted in Portuguese, English or Spanish, as specified in the authors guidelines. The evaluation process follows a double-blind peer review model, ensuring impartiality, transparency, and academic quality in editorial decisions. All submitted manuscripts are reviewed by experts with recognized experience in the field, based on criteria such as originality, theoretical and social relevance of the topic, methodological adequacy, clarity of presentation, and effective contribution to the advancement of legal knowledge and related areas. The values guiding Nexos Journal’s activities reflect a pledge to academic excellence, theoretical pluralism, ethical integrity, and the social responsibility of research.
