Peer Review
The Latin American Journal of Health Research, published by Multiversa, employs a double-blind peer review process to ensure impartiality and confidentiality throughout the entire evaluation. Manuscripts first undergo an initial screening by the editors, who assess compliance with editorial guidelines, originality, and relevance to the journal’s scope. Submissions that do not meet these criteria may be rejected before peer review.
Once past this preliminary stage, articles are sent to at least two ad hoc reviewers selected for their qualifications, expertise, and scholarly output. Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on clarity, topic relevance, methodological rigor, consistency of results, and scientific contribution. Their recommendations may range from acceptance and requests for minor or major revisions to outright rejection.
In cases where reviewers’ opinions diverge, a third reviewer may be consulted, and additional rounds of review may follow. Throughout the process, anonymity is maintained for all parties, and the editorial team facilitates communication to uphold the quality and integrity of the review.
